A cultural and heritage site on the Great Barrier Reef. One of the highlights of our superyacht voyage is a visit to the world re-known hideaway for the rich and famous, Lizard Island. It’s here guests can snorkel the famous Blue Lagoon and see giant clams and friendly marine life. Whilst here our guests enjoy a guided hike up to Cooks Lookout and learn all about the history and stories associated with Lizard Island.
Wine & Dine
Our onboard chef will be creating culinary delights matched with fine Australian wines, sparkling wine, beer, basic spirits and cocktails to tantilise even the most well-developed palette for the entire cruise. The crew of Emerald Lady love setting up suprise events on remote islands and coral cays out in the middle of the reef where you can enjoy gourmet lunches on the beach, sunset drinks and canapes on remote sand cays.
At this time of year the Great Barrier Reef welcomes our annual inquisitive visitors from the cold southern waters of Antarctica, the giant Humpback Whales and the friendly Dwarf Minke Whales.
These mammals come to these safe waters to calve and play before heading south once again for the krill in the Antarctic summer. The Minke Whales have often been referred to as playful puppies and are known to play with snorkellers for hours in the water and to follow the superyachts
For those guests who wish to snorkel we will be visiting the iconic northern sections of the outer Great Barrier Reef where you will see both spectacular marine life and amazing corals. Friendly turtles, Giant Potato Cod and Maori Wrasse will be your companions as you navigate these gin clear waters and coral reefs.
Sand Cays & Deserted Islands
These are our playground, beacons in the middle of the outer edges of the Great Barrier Reef for our guests to explore and enjoy. Relax on the pure white sand, snorkel off the beach, go on an island exploration walk, throw a fishing line in the sea.
