Based in Cairns and available for private charters throughout the year, Aroona provides direct access to the Great Barrier Reef and some of its more remote northern cruising grounds. A day charter can introduce you to the reef from the privacy of your own yacht, while multi-night journeys create opportunities to travel further towards the Ribbon Reefs, Cod Hole and Lizard Island. Flexible itineraries allow the journey to be shaped around diving, snorkelling, fishing, island exploration and time spent simply enjoying the surrounding marine environment. For guests wanting to experience more than a single reef location, an extended charter allows Aroona to become a private base for exploring different reef systems and islands over several days, with each itinerary tailored around conditions and the interests of your group.

Charter Yacht Highlights

+

Aroona stands out for her ability to combine a private luxury yacht charter with genuine Great Barrier Reef exploration. A dedicated crew, private chef and dive guide provide the expertise needed to tailor each journey around the interests of your group, while two purpose-built tenders extend the possibilities for diving, fishing and island exploration away from the yacht. An onboard dive compressor and equipment support dedicated dive experiences, complemented by snorkelling equipment, underwater scooters, paddleboards and fishing gear for exploring the reef in different ways.

Available from Cairns throughout the year, Aroona can be chartered for a private day on the reef or for longer journeys towards destinations including the Ribbon Reefs and Lizard Island, giving guests the freedom to experience areas well beyond the standard day reef routes.

Charter Experiences

+

A private charter aboard Aroona can be tailored around the Great Barrier Reef experiences that interest you most. Spend your days snorkelling vibrant coral gardens, exploring beneath the surface with an experienced dive guide, fishing in suitable locations, paddleboarding across calm tropical waters or travelling by tender between reefs and islands.

For experienced divers, multi-night charters create the opportunity to explore a greater variety of dive sites as the yacht travels through the northern reef systems. Guests looking for a slower journey can balance time in the water with secluded island visits, chef-prepared dining and quiet evenings on board surrounded by the Coral Sea. From couples and families to small groups with a shared passion for the ocean, Aroona offers the flexibility to create a Great Barrier Reef charter around your own pace and interests.

Aroona offers three ensuite staterooms with flexible bedding configurations, making her particularly adaptable for families, couples, friends and small groups (6-9 guests) travelling together on multi-night Great Barrier Reef charters.
