The central Mergui Archipelago offers a different charter experience, shifting the emphasis toward mangrove forests, birdlife, jungle-backed anchorages and culturally significant island landscapes. Historical six-day sailing routes from Kawthaung have linked Barwell Island, Tang La Bo, Pony, Nyaung Wee and Lampi National Park in a journey built around nature and slow exploration.

This six-day itinerary therefore focuses more heavily on forest, wildlife and kayaking than the five-day southern route. It progresses through a completely different set of destinations, culminating around Hastings Bay before returning toward Kawthaung.

Set sail from Labuan Bajo into the dramatic landscapes of Komodo National Park, where rugged savannah islands rise above turquoise channels, coral reefs fringe secluded beaches, and the legendary Komodo dragon still roams in the wild. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed park encompasses Komodo, Rinca, Padar and numerous smaller islands, creating one of Indonesia’s most distinctive yacht charter cruising grounds.

Over six days, this itinerary combines iconic highlights such as Padar Island, Pink Beach and Manta Point with quieter anchorages, reef snorkeling, wildlife encounters and long afternoons on the water. The route follows established liveaboard cruising patterns from Labuan Bajo while allowing a private yacht to slow the experience down, adjusting each day around sea conditions, guest preferences and the captain’s discretion.
