PHOENIX ONE | 35m (115ft) charter yacht, Australian East Coast
Phoenix One is a 35m (115ft) motor yacht that follows the Australian charter seasons: Sydney Harbour in summer, the Whitsundays from April to September, and Tropical North Queensland for marlin season in spring. Built in 1983 and fully refitted in 2026, she carries eight guests overnight in four cabins with a crew of six, and takes larger groups on day charters. The same yacht and crew work all three regions, so brokers can plan a client’s trip around the right season and the right style of charter.
ACCOMMODATION AND CREW
Four cabins sleep eight guests. The crew of six is the Captain, First Mate, Deckhand, Chief Stewardess, Second Stewardess and Chef, with menus planned around each group. Starlink Wi-Fi runs throughout, and every stateroom and the saloon has an Apple TV.
SPECIFICATIONS
Length 35m (115ft), beam 6.28m, draft 2.5m. Twin Cummins 1400hp engines, cruising speed 12 knots, range 1,700nm. Defibrillator, oxygen resuscitation equipment and marine grade first aid on board.
TENDERS AND WATER TOYS
A 27ft Boston Whaler Outrage with twin 250hp Yamahas, outriggers and Garmin displays running Navionics, plus a 5m RIB tender. On deck and on the water: a 12m Fun Air waterslide, Jacuzzi, Aqua Pool, SeaDoo Spark, kayaks, paddleboards, sea scooters, wakeboards, water skis and snorkelling gear. Light tackle fishing gear, a dive compressor and dive equipment are also on board.

Based at Cabarita Marina. Day charters for up to 46 guests and overnight charters from two nights. She is a popular choice for corporate groups, milestone birthdays, weddings and brand events, and New Year’s Eve charters run 6pm to 1am. For overseas clients, this is the Australian summer while the northern hemisphere is in winter.
THE WHITSUNDAYS | APRIL TO SEPTEMBER
Busiest in August and September. Day charters for up to 38 guests and overnight charters for eight. She anchors in the islands with the full set of water toys, and island relocation and scuba diving are available.
TROPICAL NORTH QUEENSLAND | SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER
Marlin season on the Great Barrier Reef, operating from Cairns, Port Douglas, Cooktown, Lizard Island and the Ribbon Reefs. Day charter numbers are 20 to 30 depending on the port, and overnight charters take eight guests.
FISHING
Fishing trips run under Oceanic Fishing Charters, and there are two formats. Sport Fishing is fishing from the Boston Whaler for up to six anglers, with guide, tackle and rod and reel combos supplied, and the crew prepare and cryovac the catch for the trip home. Mothership uses Phoenix One as the base for a dedicated game boat from a partner operator, booked separately.
