7 Day Archipelago Adventure

A seven-day charter provides enough time to explore a broader cross-section of the Mergui Archipelago, moving from small reef islands into larger jungle-covered landmasses, protected channels and traditional coastal communities. Established seven-day yacht itineraries have followed a route through Island 115, Nga Mann, Great Swinton, Clara Island, Salet Galet, Ko Phawt and Bo Cho before returning to Kawthaung.

This is the most expedition-oriented of the three programmes. The route combines underwater exploration, rainforest landscapes, kayaking, remote beaches and cultural encounters, creating a stronger sense of journey than the shorter southern and central itineraries.

Day 3: Great Swinton Island

SHARK CAVE | JUNGLE SCENERY | DIVING

Cruise toward Great Swinton Island for a more adventurous underwater day. Historical charter itineraries highlight the area’s forested scenery and Shark Cave dive site, which makes this day particularly attractive to experienced divers.

Non-divers can explore shallower reefs or beaches while qualified divers head underwater with appropriate guides and equipment.

Day 7: Bo Cho Island to Kawthaung

MOKEN HERITAGE | ISLAND VILLAGE | FINAL CRUISE

Finish at Bo Cho Island, historically one of the most significant cultural stops on Mergui itineraries because of the Moken community at Ma Kyone Galet. Established yacht routes include locally guided village visits alongside snorkelling and island exploration. Take in the views of forested coastlines and remote tropical islands as your yacht begins its journey back towards Kawthaung.

After the shore experience, return to the yacht for lunch and begin the final cruise toward Kawthaung for disembarkation. Any community visit should be coordinated with local guides and conducted respectfully.

Kawthaung has traditionally been the principal gateway for these routes, often accessed via the Thai border city of Ranong.

What can be experienced in this region?

+

The route can combine coral reefs, jungle-covered islands, cave diving, mangroves, wildlife, isolated beaches and Moken cultural experiences.

Who is this destination suited for?

+

Conceptually, the seven-day itinerary best suits adventurous luxury travellers, divers, photographers, nature enthusiasts and experienced charter guests comfortable with remote environments.
