5 Day El Nido Lagoon Escape

El Nido is one of the Philippines’ signature yacht-charter settings, where limestone formations rise from Bacuit Bay amid lagoons, beaches, coral habitats and forested islands. The wider El Nido–Taytay area is a nationally protected landscape and seascape, while established island-hopping routes explore locations throughout Bacuit Bay.

This five-day itinerary deliberately slows the usual island-hopping experience down. Instead of visiting several places in a few hours, each day is centred on a different island or coastal area, allowing more time for early-morning kayaking, quieter beaches, snorkelling and long lunches aboard.

  • Where | El Nido & Palawan Bay
  • When | November–May
  • Duration | 5 Days - 4 Nights
  • Departs | El Nido
  • Concludes | Nacpan Beach

Day 1: El Nido

BACUIT BAY | LIMESTONE HORIZON | WELCOME ABOARD

Board the yacht around El Nido and begin with an easy cruise into Bacuit Bay. The area is celebrated for its karst landscapes, lagoons, beaches, snorkelling and established island-hopping routes.

Enjoy lunch aboard while the crew introduces the yacht and surrounding cruising grounds, followed by an afternoon swim or tender excursion before the first evening on the water.

Day 2: Cadlao Island

FORESTED COAST | QUIET BAYS | WATERSPORTS

Spend the second day around Cadlao Island, using the yacht to explore its quieter shoreline rather than following the pace of a standard day tour. The protected El Nido–Taytay seascape encompasses an ecologically important combination of coastal and marine habitats.

Kayak along limestone-framed shores, snorkel at a crew-selected site or enjoy paddleboarding and a beach stop before settling into a suitable overnight anchorage.

Day 3: Miniloc Island

LAGOONS | LIMESTONE WALLS | KAYAK EXPLORATION

Cruise toward Miniloc Island for a day centred on the lagoon landscapes for which El Nido is best known. The official destination guide lists Big Lagoon and other lagoon experiences among the area’s signature island-hopping attractions, with visitor caps and environmental fees potentially applying.

Explore by kayak or tender where authorised, ideally timing the experience around local conditions and visitor controls. Return to the yacht for lunch followed by snorkelling or a relaxed afternoon aboard.

Day 4: Matinloc Island

REMOTE COVES | REEF EXPLORATION | ISLAND SCENERY

HIGHLIGHT: REMOTE COVES | REEF EXPLORATION | ISLAND SCENERY

Continue west through Bacuit Bay toward Matinloc Island for a more remote-feeling day. El Nido’s established island-hopping network extends across multiple offshore islands, beaches and reef environments rather than being limited to the better-known lagoons.

Spend the afternoon snorkelling, tender cruising and enjoying secluded coastal scenery, with the captain selecting the most appropriate location according to wind, swell and current access regulations.

Day 5: Nacpan Beach

LONG BEACH | COASTAL FINALE | DISEMBARKATION

Finish along the northern El Nido coast at Nacpan Beach, which is recognised by the official destination guide for its long stretch of sand.

If sea conditions permit a safe tender landing, enjoy a final beach morning before disembarkation and a private road transfer to Lio Airport or onward accommodation. Because this coastline can be exposed, the captain may substitute a more sheltered landing point if conditions make Nacpan unsuitable.
