5 Day Mamanuca Island-Hopping
The Mamanuca Islands create an ideal setting for a shorter Fiji yacht charter, with around 20 islands scattered just offshore from Nadi and surrounded by reefs, beaches and protected cruising waters. Their proximity to the mainland allows guests to spend less time underway and more time snorkelling, swimming, dining ashore and exploring individual islands.
This five-day route begins at Port Denarau and moves progressively through Malolo Lailai, Monuriki, Mana and Tokoriki before finishing at Vuda. Each stop brings a different atmosphere, from marina life and quiet reef exploration to an uninhabited island and refined resort experiences.

Day 1: Malolo Lailai
MUSKET COVE | ISLAND MARINA | WELCOME ABOARD
Board the yacht at Port Denarau and begin with a relaxed passage west into the Mamanuca Islands. Arrive at Malolo Lailai, home to Musket Cove Marina, an established gateway for yachts exploring Fiji’s western islands.
Spend the afternoon swimming, paddleboarding or exploring ashore before settling into the charter with drinks and dinner aboard. Guests who prefer time ashore can enjoy the island’s restaurants and resort facilities before returning to the yacht.
Day 2: Mana Island
FRINGING REEF | BEACHES | WATERSPORTS
Continue to Mana Island in the heart of the Mamanucas for a more active day on and beneath the water. Tourism Fiji specifically highlights the island for accessible beach-entry snorkelling and abundant reef fish.
Spend the morning snorkelling before adding kayaking, paddleboarding or a relaxed beach visit. Guests can also go ashore for lunch or resort activities before returning to the yacht for sunset.
Day 3: Monuriki
UNINHABITED ISLAND | SNORKELLING | CASTAWAY SCENERY
Cruise north toward Monuriki, one of the Mamanucas’ most recognisable uninhabited islands. Tourism Fiji highlights it as a particularly memorable excursion from the main Mamanuca cruising grounds, and it was also the principal filming location for Cast Away.
Go ashore where permitted for beach exploration before spending the afternoon snorkelling, swimming and exploring the surrounding coast by tender. Return to the yacht for a secluded evening in an anchorage selected according to conditions.
Day 4: Tokoriki Island
ISLAND LUXURY | DIVING | WATERFRONT DINING
Cruise north to Tokoriki, the northernmost island in the Mamanuca chain and a fitting luxury-oriented final island stop. The island combines beaches and reef activities with established upscale resorts, restaurants, diving and private-island excursions.
Spend the afternoon diving or snorkelling, enjoy a spa or private dining experience ashore, or simply remain aboard for a slower day overlooking the island.
Day 5: Vuda Marina
FINAL SWIM | MAINLAND PASSAGE | DISEMBARKATION
Enjoy an unhurried final morning in the Mamanucas before beginning the cruise back toward western Viti Levu. Conditions permitting, the crew can pause for one last swim or snorkel before crossing toward Vuda Point.
Disembark at Vuda Marina, a major Fiji yachting hub conveniently located on the western side of Viti Levu between Nadi and Lautoka.
